Lisa Iwamoto

LISA IWAMOTO is Founding Partner of IwamotoScott Architecture which she leads together with her Partner, Craig Scott. IwamotoScott has received numerous awards including the Cooper Hewitt/Smithsonian National Design Award, Interior Design Hall of Fame 2018, the Architectural League’s Emerging Voices and Young Architects, Architectural Record’s Design Vanguard, over twenty AIA Design Awards including a National Award, P/A Award and numerous other architecture and interior awards. Their work has been published in hundreds of journals, and exhibited in numerous museums and galleries. Lisa received her Master of Architecture degree with Distinction from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Colorado. She is author of Digital Fabrications: Architectural and Material Techniques published in 2009 by Princeton Architectural Press and is Professor and Chair, Department of Architecture at the University of California Berkeley.

Sarina Bowen Kennerly, AIA

Principal

Sarina is principal and co-owner of Kennerly Architecture & Planning, an architecture and urban planning practice based in San Francisco, California.  She has over 25 years of experience in architecture.  Through a combination of strong management and communication skills combined with her thoughtful approach to the design process, Sarina successfully leads project teams as well as the firm’s operations. She is particularly interested in exploring issues of materiality and sensory experience along with sustainable design. Originally from Northern California, Sarina also worked in France for a few years where she had the opportunity to explore the intersection of contemporary design within an historic urban fabric, while appreciating the challenges of working in a foreign culture and language.

William Leddy, FAIA

William Leddy, FAIA, is a Founding Principal of San Francisco-based LEDDY MAYTUM STACY Architects, the 2017 recipient of the AIA Firm Award.  For over 30 years, he has been a national leader in the design of environments that celebrate our place in the natural world.  LMSA has received more than 175 design awards and is one of only three firms to have received eleven or more national AIA Committee on the Environment Top Ten Green Project awards. A past chair of the national AIA COTE, he currently serves as the AIA California Vice President for Climate Action, helping to advance the rapid decarbonization of the built environment in California and beyond. His firm’s new book – “Practice with Purpose: A Guide to Mission Driven Design” will be published in Fall 2022.
