AIASMC Scholarships 2017
The AIASMC is pleased to announce the winners of the 2017 Academic Scholarship Awards Program. The awards program is intended to encourage and assist students graduating from high school as well as students already enrolled in college in their pursuit of a degree in architecture at a college or university level in an accredited architecture program. This expresses the Chapter’s commitment to education and the future of our profession.

Awards
This year we were proud to present 2 Scholarship Awards to two very passionate and talented architectural students, Ms. Amanda Stahler, who will be attending Cal Poly, and Mr. Jose Olazabal, who will be attending California College of the Arts.  Amanda is studying abroad, so her parents proudly stepped in to accept her award. Both students were honored Wednesday, May 17, at a shared event with AIASCV who also honored scholarship students.

A short awards ceremony followed a reception at the Bishop Auditorium, Lathrop Library, Stanford University.  AIA SMC & SCV members and friends then enjoyed a great lecture from AIA 2017 Firm of the Year Winner Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects, Bill Leddy.
