Please join the COTE Committee on a moderate morning hike from the north end of Cañada Road to the Pulgas Water Temple.
Enjoy the 2.5-mile trail winding alongside Crystal Springs Reservoir to the Beaux Arts Water Temple commemorating California’s Hetch Hetchy Aqueduct. Pulgas Water Temple was designed in the Beaux Arts style by William Merchant, a San Francisco architect trained by Bernard Maybeck.
The total length there and back is 5.0-miles with an elevation gain of 423-ft. Duration ± 2-hours.
Winter hiking attire: layer athletic clothing, backpack and sturdy shoes

When: Sunday, February 11th 9:00 – ~11:00 am
Where: Trailhead is located on the west side of Cañada Road, opposite from the intersection of the Ralston Avenue Bike Pathway. (Please drive and exit from Highway 92; the east side of Cañada Road will be closed to cars.) Park along Cañada Road once you exit Highway 92, then walk to the trailhead which will be our meeting point. See the meeting point on Google maps here.
