Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve
La Honda CA 94020
Join the COTE Committee for a guided hike with the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST). Mindego Ridge trail is one of many POST protected open space preserves.
The trail is a rigorous ± 5-mile round trip with about 1,000 feet of elevation gain, so be prepared for a workout! Layers of athletic clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended., If you’d like to bring your own hiking poles, you’re more than welcome. Bring your own supplies: backpack, snacks, beverages, etc.
Registration is free. Please register through our website (so we can keep a headcount). POST will also receive your registration, in case there are details or changes to communicate before the event.

Who: Members and their family/friends (but no pets)
Why: Connect with nature, and also with fellow San Mateo County chapter members
Directions to Mindego Hill Trail
From Woodside, CA head southwest on Highway 84 to Highway 35. Turn left on Highway 35. Take a right at Alpine Road and drive roughly 1.5 miles to the Audrey C. Rust Commemorative Site (or “Audrey’s Way”) and parking area.
