Join us on April 26th, for a home tour with Ogawa Fisher Architects, featuring an exclusive home in San Mateo!

The house is new construction of a 2-story modern home in a suburban neighborhood of San Mateo. The original home was one story, and the homeowners wanted to enjoy the view that was only available from a higher vantage point. The home features a terraced great room, a tree-house like office and exercise room on the second floor, and a roof deck with views of the bay. An attached 500 SF ADU on the first floor allows for flexible usage of an open plan, and for grandparents to visit for extended periods of time.

Design features:
– House is in Wildland Urban Interface (WUI)  zone; all materials and details comply with WUI standards
– full solar array on the roof, with batter back-up
– Stepped floorplan from front to back, to follow the contours of the site
– Large and expansive windows, doors, and skylights to let in light and views, including ~12’ tall multi-fold doors facing the rear deck and yard
