Habitat Greater San Francisco (Habitat GSF)  Proudly Presents Affordable Housing Options in the Heart of Redwood City

AIA Members: $25
Non-members $40
June 27th 3:30 – 4:30 PM

We’ll tour the last unit of the completed Habitat GSF, a 6-story, 25,000 SF residential building at 612 Jefferson Avenue

Habitat GSF
This project was in the works for nearly 9 years due to the approval process, funding and mostly a lawsuit from a neighboring property. But it’s now completed and ready for new homeowners!

The project consists of 20 affordable housing units (5 1-bedroom units, 10 2-bedroom units, and 5 3-bedroom units), and an at-grade parking garage with 15 parking spaces and 8 bike parking spaces. Sweat equity work by future homeowners was limited on this project and BAR Architects & Interiors of San Francisco donated a number of hours during the course of the project.

Description of the tour

For an increasing number of people in the Bay Area, the dream of homeownership is out of reach. Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco (Habitat GSF) builds and sustains affordable homeownership opportunities for working families. Through the construction of affordable homes for ownership, home preservation and advocacy, Habitat GSF has helped create a pathway for economic stability and prosperity for more than 480 low- and middle-income families.

Over the past 30+ years, Habitat GSF has built more than 250 homes. With 120 Habitat homes underway and 130 more homes coming forward in the pipeline in Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties, Habitat GSF is doubling their impact.
