The event is called “Travel: CEU”
Travel: CEU is designed to give architects a more enjoyable way to earn their annual CEU credits. With Travel: CEU, you will earn up to 15 continuing ed credits as you explore some of the world’s most beautiful architecture – in breathtaking locations – along with fellow architects.
We have chosen Tauck, a family-owned tour company with a 100+-year history of creating luxurious travel experiences, to host the first of these events. Planned for the fall of 2025, this is an 8-day, 7-night European cruise that explores the hidden waterways of Belgium and the Netherlands.
A Fundraiser for CRAN National
This event will also be a fundraiser for CRAN National, as a portion of the proceeds from every cabin sold will be donated to the AIA, in support of CRAN National’s Emerging Professionals initiatives.
Some Trip Details
You will arrive on October 14th, 2025 (the day before the beginning of the tour), spend the night in the arrival hotel, and spend the morning and early afternoon of the 15th, earning 5-7 CEU credits. You will board the ship late in the afternoon on the 15th. The rest of your CEU credits will be earned during the tour. The link to the itinerary, a brief “explainer” video on the highlights of Tauck adventures, and some additional event details can be found here: https://inspires.to/experiences/the-most-enjoyable-way-for-architects-to-earn-15-ceu-credits-d2357
Pricing
Cabins start at just $6,000 (single or double occupancy). Transportation to and from the ship, overnight accommodations the night before the ship departs and trip insurance are additional. Talk to our Tauck rep for these details. Tauck Contact: Kristine Kuhn 1-203-899-6539
Reserve Your Cabin As Soon As You Can!
One of the reasons we chose Tauck to host this event is that they are known in the cruise industry as the company with the fewest number of cabins for the size of the ships they operate. That means Tauck’s cabins are more comfortable than what is common with other cruise lines. There are approximately 120 cabins on the ship, and TAUCK has reserved 1/4 of their inventory (30 cabins), across a broad swath of categories, for CRAN. As I mentioned at the AIA Long Island CRAN kickoff meeting, the annual CRAN Symposium is intentionally small and intimate, and our attendees have made it clear that they really appreciate this format. The disadvantage of this format, however, is that the Symposium sells out quickly each year. The Travel:CEU event is curated to create the same intimate educational experience as the Symposium. So, don’t miss out on what promises to be a great event. Again, there are only 30 cabins available. It takes a deposit of just $900 to reserve your cabin. To reserve your cabin, fill out the “River Cruise Personal Information Form” (attached), call Kristine at Tauck, choose your cabin, and reserve it today. Make sure you identify yourself as part of the AIA CRAN event so you can receive your CEU credits and the AIA can receive its donation from TAUCK.
CRAN Fundraiser Questions
After the completion of the tour a portion of the proceeds from the cabin sales will be sent by Tauck to the AIA, with instructions that the funds be given to the national Custom Residential Architect Network (CRAN), an AIA Knowledge Community; to be used in support of CRAN’s ongoing Emerging Professionals (EP) initiatives. For additional CRAN fundraising questions contact: Kevin Harris, Assoc. AIA, AIA CRAN National Chair, [email protected]. The best way to reach me by phone is to text my cell (360.990.2923), and I’ll call you back as soon as I can.
The Attached Prospectus

If you have questions on this, please talk to our Tauck Contact: Kristine Kuhn 1-203-899-6539, [email protected].
