On December 9th, two very deserving architectural students received the 2020 Joint AIA & AIASMC Scholarship Award. Both recipients are students currently attending California Polytechnic State University.
William Foster Westover
Foster Westover is a 5th year architectural student looking forward to a June 2021 graduation. Designing homes was a seed planted in the 4th grade and that passion remains today. Foster has interned two summers at a firm that specialized in high-end single-family custom residences and after a Cal Poly June graduation would like to specialize in residential projects.
Isabella Marie Schenone
Isabella Schenone is a 3rd year architectural student and next year, if travel restrictions permit, would like to study abroad for one year in Florence, Italy where she hopes to develop new design perspectives. Isabella has also interned during the summers and after graduation wants to investigate building-design related occupations that focus on sustainability, passive design strategies, and working with different architectural disciplines.
