It’s with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that Bob George passed away on January 21, 2025 . Bob was a founding Chapter member, the 1985 Chapter president, and was inducted into the College of Fellows in May 1998. Bob was on many committees and very involved with the AIASMC Chapter Charrettes. Bob championed SAP (Safety Assessment Program) and was instrumental in recruiting, enlisting, and training hundreds of architects in the aftermath of the Loma Prieta and Northridge earthquakes as CalOES SAP volunteers.

Borrowed from his Obituary,  Bob spent his professional life and nearly his entire life, preaching the benefits of good building design and practicing the arts of kindness and good humor toward all that entered his orbit.

You can go to this link and send condolences,  share a memory, send flowers, or have a tree planted in Bob’s honor. A wonderful friend to so many. He will be missed.
