Last week, AIASMC’s President and VP – Kenny Hung and Iva Monterrubio Langrova – attended the annual AIA Leadership Summit in Washington DC. During the 3-day conference they connected with national and component leaders from across the country and engaged in conversations on a wide range of topics, including the convergence of AI technology and architectural practice, building a more resilient and positive-environment for architects and emerging professionals. The highlight of the conference is the Hill Day, where they visited members of the Congress and advocated for important issues that affect our profession and the communities. They had discussions with District 15 and 16 legislative offices on how the federal government and local architects could collaborate and support adaptable design and responses to natural disasters and affordable housing in San Mateo County.
